Q&A With Field-Kindley’s Bryan Magana-Gonzalez – Presented by Uplink

By Ken Hansard

Field-Kindley High School senior soccer player and student-athlete Bryan Magana-Gonzalez spoke to VYPE SPORTS in a recent interview.

VYPE SPORTS: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Magana: My favorite athletic memory is when I scored seven goals in two games at our home tournament.

VYPE SPORTS: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Magana: The teammate who had the biggest impact on me is probably Keyln Wilson. Any time that it seemed that nothing was going right for me, he was there to pick me up.

VYPE SPORTS: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

Magana: My favorite thing about being a part of this team is playing all four years with the best senior class I could ask for.

VYPE SPORTS: What clubs or campus groups are you involved with and why?

Magana: I work a full-time job at ACME Foundry, so I really don’t have any time for clubs right now.

VYPE SPORTS: What accolades (in any sport or activity) are you most proud of?

Magana: I’m probably most proud of winning regionals my freshman year and winning the SEK League two years.

VYPE SPORTS: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Magana: Learning how to work around others and the importance of communication.

VYPE SPORTS: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Magana: “If you don’t believe in yourself then no one will.”

VYPE SPORTS: Who inspires you and why?

Magana: The person who inspires me the most is my older brother.  He tries to make it to every soccer game and cheer for me even when I’m not playing my best.

VYPE SPORTS: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Magana: I want to give a shout out to my three coaches.  I couldn’t ask for better.
