Fort Scott’s Raveyn Kegler – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Bourbon County Cars

Fort Scott volleyball player Raveyn Kegler told VYPE that “my favorite part of being on this team is that we all get along together and we love each other as a family”. Saying “I had so much fun last year with my volleyball team as we were co-sek champions with Chanute! It was a great year filled with many successes”. This season Kegler focused on improving with each game and hopes to commit to a college team. A dream which came true today as she signed her national letter of intent to join the Fort Scott Community College volleyball team next fall!

“I have had a lot of great teammates over the years from when I was an athlete at Marmaton Valley High School to club teams to my current Fort Scott High School teammates! If I had to choose one who has impacted me the most, I would probably pick Kenzie Murphy. She graduated last year from Fort Scott HS and is playing at the collegiate level at Hutchinson CC. She always held me accountable and always pushed me to achieve more” said Kegler.

Kegler shared that outside of athletics “I am involved in many community service projects that are coordinated through multiple school clubs that I am involved in. I often help at the senior citizen center packing food for food delivery for senior citizens”. She also represents the Fort Scott Tigers through her participation in various clubs previously mentioned at FSHS. Explaining “I am the president of our National Honor Society! I am co-secretary of Student Council. I am a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Math Club, Key Club, and History Club. I am also honored to have been a Fall Homecoming Candidate! I enjoy being involved and hope to be a positive influence for other students”.
