Q&A with Fort Scott’s Kylee Comstock – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Briggs Auto Group

Fort Scott basketball player Kylee Comstock spoke to VYPE in an interview.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goal this year is to be SEK champs and make it to state. 

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory is making it to state in the 4×100 last year because we really didn’t think we were going to make it. 

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has left the biggest impact on me has been Jescie Comstock, Kenzie Murphy, Ellie Smith, and Keegan Yarick. They were great leaders and made sure we worked hard but still had fun. 

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part of being on this team is how we are all get along and feel like family. 

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I participate in community service through clubs at my school. 

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I am involved in Student Council, FCCLA, Key Club, NHS, and Art Club.   

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Sports have taught me teamwork, leadership, mental toughness and how to overcome adversity. 

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

The best advice that I have received is success is the best revenge because it pushes me to work harder to prove people wrong. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

My family inspires me because they always support me and challenge me to become better.
