Football season is right around the corner. Teams are practicing and getting ready for the season. While everyone is working hard to be at their best, let’s take a look at some of the underclassmen that could have a big impact on their teams this season.
Noah Mitchell (Caney Valley) – Noah enters this season ready to make an impact on the field. He has put in the work in the offseason and looks to have a solid season.
Ryder Newton (Fort Scott) – Seeing time on both sides of the ball, Newton will be busy this season but should be ready for the challenge. He will work to help his team be successful.
Tre Wilson (Iola) – Tre is extremely talented. He has the ability on the offensive side of the ball to turn a routine play into a touchdown. On the defensive side of the ball, he started three games last season and was able to haul in two interceptions and played very well at the free safety spot.
Demonta Kendrick (Parsons) – Kendrick is a fierce competitor who is looking to wreak havoc on an offense every single play at the defensive tackle position. He is not the biggest but he is extremely strong and physical. He had a very good sophomore season and should put up All-State caliber numbers if he stays healthy.
