Girard’s Aiden Ashbacher – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Advanced Physical Therapy

By Angela Brunk

Senior Aiden Ashbacher is ready to make the most of his final season at Girard High School. A left fielder and pitcher, Ashbacher enters his senior year eager to return to the diamond and embrace every moment with his teammates.

“I am most excited to get back onto the field and have full practices,” he said, reflecting on the anticipation that comes with a new season. After months of preparation, he is ready to compete.

During the offseason, Ashbacher dedicated himself to lifting, hitting, and throwing to sharpen his overall game. The biggest focus has been at the plate, where he has worked to improve his consistency and production. Determined to elevate his performance, he has made it a priority to be more disciplined and confident in each at-bat.

Last season, his efforts earned him CNC Second Team Outfield honors along with All-State Honorable Mention recognition in the outfield. Both accomplishments highlight his defensive contributions to the team. Still, Ashbacher’s goals for his senior campaign remain team-oriented. “Definitely getting a state title,” he said of the Trojans’ aspirations. On a personal level, he simply wants to be better than he was a year ago.

Beyond baseball, Ashbacher has been heavily involved at Girard High School, participating in FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, SADD, as well as football and baseball, among numerous other activities outside of school.

His well-rounded involvement reflects his leadership and commitment to his community.

After graduation, Ashbacher will attend Pittsburg State University to pursue a degree in Construction Management, building a strong foundation for his future both on and off the field.
