Caney Valley’s Bryleigh Rigdon – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Matt Robertson State Farm

For Caney Valley senior Bryleigh Rigdon, this season is all about setting the bar high. “My personal goals heading into my senior season are to bat over .550 and to always be a positive uplifting leader,” Rigdon said.

She believes the team’s aspirations are just as important as her own. “The team’s goal this year should be to win the the Twin Valley League,” Rigdon said. That championship focus is fueled by the hard work she and her teammates put in day after day.

Rigdon’s versatility makes her a key piece of the Bullpups’ lineup. “I play infield and pitch,” she said. Being able to contribute in multiple spots gives her the chance to lead both in the circle and with her glove.

Every time she steps between the lines, Rigdon brings the same determined mindset. “When I step onto the field, my mindset is to strive for excellence,” she said. That approach not only fuels her own performance but also sets a tone for her teammates to follow.

Her journey in a Caney Valley uniform has been filled with meaningful moments, but one stands out the most. “My favorite memory in a Caney Valley uniform is getting to stay after practice and hit in the cage with my dad,” Rigdon said. Those extra swings have been as much about family as they have been about improvement.

Rigdon’s competitive spirit isn’t limited to the softball diamond. “I’m a senior, involved in golf and wrestling,” she said. “I also placed third at state last year in wrestling.” That success across multiple sports shows the drive and discipline she brings to every challenge.

As her senior year unfolds, Rigdon is determined to finish strong—both for herself and for Caney Valley.
