My favorite athletic memory is our game last year against Baldwin. I remember we played really well and left that game feeling proud and closer as a team.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me has been Kaia Barkman, a senior last year. I can remember the patience and leadership skills she demonstrated toward all of the team, and her ability to teach and lead was so helpful.

My favorite part of being on this team is the way we push each other to become better every day to compete to the best of our abilities, while also building and growing friendships with one another.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

Yes, I have participated in many blood drives that our community has hosted as well as vaccine and flu clinics. I have also helped host can and food drives around the community.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I am involved in Student Government, HOSA- Future Health Professionals, the National Honor Society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I have participated in these clubs so that I can grow as a leader and become a more well-rounded student-athlete.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Playing soccer and being a part of the team has taught me to always work my hardest and go at every opportunity to the best of my abilities.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Some of the best advice I have received has been from my dad. He always tells me to make sure I am doing the things I love and to always do them well.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

My mom is one of the people who inspires me the most. She does everything in her life with patience, kindness, and to the best of her abilities. She has been someone who I can look up to and always get advice from.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Shoutout to Coach Fox and Ruark for being such good coaches and giving me the opportunity to be a part of the first years of Chanute High School girls soccer.
