Q&A with Chanute’s Larsen Koester – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Top It Custom Counters

Chanute baseball player Larsen Koester recently spoke to VYPE in an interview.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

My personal goals for this year are to just make a run and see how far we can make it in the tournament.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite memory in sports is in the spring of 2023 we made a deep run in the state tournament for baseball.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

My most impactful teammate is probably my cousin Brax he has been able to fight through injury and seeing him work as hard as he does motivates me to do better myself.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

My clubs include the foreign language club, my Astronomers unites club, and my pottery club.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Sports taught me that I will never be the best I can be if I am in a constant battle with the person in the mirror instead of the person across the court or the field.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

The best advice anyone has ever given me is that you need to slow down and live sometimes because this life is the only one you will get.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

I would like to thank my family because without them I wouldn’t be able to be in the position I am in today or be the person I am today.
