Coffeyville FFA member Emma Thompson recently spoke to VYPE in an interview regarding her life. Thompson told VYPE about her favorite parts of the FFA saying “I love getting to be involved in the different contests and getting to be a part of such an amazing organization”. Going on to say “My personal goals for the year are to run the FFA smoothly as President and improve some of the events we host”.
Thompson, who is also involved in the Coffeyville Area Community Foundation’s Junior Advisory Council, NHS, Band, Debate, Forensics, Tennis, and Swim, has participated in “service projects surrounding the local Cedar Bluff Camp, Red Cross, Multiple Churches, Coffeyville Brown Mansion, and our Annual Kiddie Barnyard project in FFA, totaling about 110 community service hours”.
“FFA has taught me so much about life and success, and so many lessons about the different communication and leadership skills I can use to be successful” said Thompson. Who also shared with us that she enjoys “spending time with fellow FFAers and my advisors”. Including last years FFA President expressing that “she taught me a lot about how I wanted to lead our club”.
