Fort Scott athlete Nate Mintz recently gave an interview with VYPE.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for this year are to have a 4.00 gpa through out the whole school year and also to have a winning season in soccer and in baseball.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I have had in the past year was when the baseball team went on our spring break trip. We went to Arkansas and went to baseball games and swam it was a very fun time. But we still had practice and put our work in.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
I think that the best teacher I have ever had is Mr.Calvin. He is the history teacher for 8th grade. He was always very positive and made class very fun. I also might be biased because I like history so much.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
I think that the best athletic memory I have had was last years last soccer game. Even though we lost it was very fun because we new we were worse than the other team but we still had played hard and had fun.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
This question is hard to answer because I am only a sophomore but if I am going to choose one I think it would be Kristian Peronto. He was the striker for the soccer team last year and is now in college playing soccer. He always hustled and always gave his best effort even if he shot it over the goal almost every time(just a joke).
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part of being on this team is that it is like a family and everybody has fun together and messes with each other but at the same time we do work and compete.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could go on any holiday I would choose to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. I would take my family and my grandpa because we all ancient history and think it is interesting.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I had 500$ I think I would probably spend it on new goalie gloves because I have to go through about 3-4 per season and it would be nice to stock up on some. No to the last 3.
