Moundridge basketball player Cammi Unruh recently gave an interview with VYPE.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My goals for this year are to make a positive impact and be a leader to my team at all times.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun that I have had is going to the lake with my friends all of this summer and going tubing with them.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher is my 8th grade social studies teacher because he was also my basketball coach and made a big impact on the start of my career as a player.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite memory is being our rivals to go undefeated in the league and to be the #1 seed going into the HOA tournament.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is a senior that graduated last year. She always showed up to practice in a good mood and ready to get better and would always push our team to get better. She was a really good fit to being the leader of the team.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on the team is just how close we are together and have a really tight bond with everyone. Everyone gets excited for everyone else’s successes.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would definitely pick the Bahamas or some beachy place because it seems so relaxing and I would take my 2 best friends and my family.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would most likely spend it on new shoes for either sports or just for fun shoes and the rest on hoodies or comfy clothes.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I don’t participate in anything on my own but whenever my school has community services I always try to make it to those.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I participate in FCA and Dridge Squad. I am a firm believer in christ and am always am looking to grow my journey with christ. And I love doing Dridge Squad and supporting my school whenever we have games.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
Lastly I am currently not in any academic clubs but am looking to in the future.
