
Independence athlete Austin Morrow recently gave an interview where he shared his personal motto which is ” Your only limit is your own fear”.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
Cross Country goals would be to get 18 or high 17 minutes and train for a 5K. For the year I want to continue to improve and minimize limitations.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Mountain biking, doing races, and going fast down narrow trails.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My 5th grade teacher Ms. Flynn. She ran marathons and motivated me to push harder.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Bonding with my teammates – running and motivating each other. We are all competitive friends.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Max Sutherland – we do the same sports and push each other.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
It’s a small team and we get to know each other well and become close with everyone.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I’d go to Bentonville, AR. I’d like to try some of the biking trails they have there. Along with the extra tires I know I’d need to bring I’d also bring my friend Izzy who also likes to bike.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I’d like to get a Tahoe cover for my truck and some bike upgrade like tires.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I’m Vice President of the National Honor Society and a member of the Health Club, Track and Field, and the Construction Program.
