2022 Record: 3-6
Offense/Defense:
Having already put last season behind them, the Lions’ football coach Jeff McCoy told VYPE “Our goals are to play with max effort, great attitudes, and to play tough if we do these things correctly and hold people accountable then the rest will take care of itself at the end of the day.” Also saying “we will play faster, we will be more physical.” Returning players “Payton Gaines, Javen Alexander, Jacob Grant, Sam Weaver, Ivan Ogle, Gage Maggard, Caleb Pujols, Carson Mazzocco, and Briar Simpson” were among those who “broke a 25 game skid. The program made strides in the right direction thanks to the direction of coach Burr, he took this on a few years ago when it was in pretty rough shape. We would not be where we are today without his leadership and direction. I was fortunate enough to be put in a position to take this role because we have great kids, and I have an excellent staff with me.” said McCoy. Also on the roster are key returning players “Sam Carden, Chason Sikes, Alex Burton, and Nolan duncan.”
