Independence Bulldogs

Coach: Kendall Fiscus

2022 Record: 1-8

Offense:

Bulldog coach Kendall Fiscus told VYPE “we have had a good offseason so far with our kids really stepping up and buying into our zero hour lift. We are returning 7 starters on offense. The team really seemed to find their identity on offense in the second half of the season last year and hope to build off of that this upcoming season.” Among the returning players are Camdon Julian (6’, 180, Sr.), Saxton Renfro (5’9”, 155, Sr.), JD Veile (5’ 10”, 155, Jr.), Jake Garris (6’ 2”, 230, Sr.), Dylan Cooley (6’2, 265, Jr.), and Dillon Kuehn (6’ 2”, 220, Sr.) who Fiscus named as the teams “top six offensive players”.

Defense:

“Defensively, we return 8 starters this year. We are excited about some added depth we will have this season on our offensive line so we can keep our guys fresh on both sides of the ball” says Fiscus. Six of the eight returning are listed as “players to watch” – three of which were included in the previously noted offensive players. The remainder are Dusten Fischer-Asgari (5’ 9”, 185, Sr.), Toby Lawless (5’ 10”, 155, Jr.), and Josh Foreman (5’ 10”, 170, Jr.).
